Nuclear Risk and the Future of Humanity

Humanity’s Greatest Threat
Nuclear weapons are one of the dangerous things that humans have ever made. The effects of these weapons do not stop when a war ends. They can affect countries, people who come after us and the environment that we all rely on for life. The past has already shown what happens when nuclear weapons are used. The lesson from that should not be ignored. Now the world still faces the chance that a choice, a mistake a fight or a wrong decision could put millions of lives in danger in a few moments. The presence of weapons makes a question that is much bigger than just keeping a country safe.
The question is how much risk should humanity be willing to carry when the consequences of failure could be irreversible?
Nuclear weapons should not be seen as tools of power between countries. Their very existence brings a duty to think about the future of all people. No goal of politics no argument over land or no plan for strategy can change the fact that using these weapons would harm more than just those who decide to use them. The problem that people face is not to stop the next nuclear crisis. It is to create a future where nuclear destruction is not seen as a solution to problems. OWOI thinks this question needs global conversation. Not with fear not with anger and not, with politics. It needs leaders, calm talks and a readiness to look at every possible way to make nuclear danger less. The future of people should never depend on the hope that the deadly weapons ever made will never be used.
Security Parameters
OWOI believes that developing increasingly destructive technologies cannot be the foundation for lasting peace. True security should protect human life and the future of humanity, rather than create greater risks for both.OWOI encourages nations to create space for peaceful international dialogue on how these risks can be reduced and what better alternatives may exist.
Such discussions should not be limited to governments alone. People from different nations should have an opportunity to understand these questions, participate in discussions, and, where appropriate, express their views through consultation or voting.Whether the discussion concerns establishing responsible security parameters, strengthening safeguards, or considering whether such technologies should ultimately have a place in our future, OWOI believes these questions deserve to be examined openly, peacefully, and with the interests of future generations in mind.
Nuclear Energy
OWOI believe that nuclear energy may well be a significant source of power for data centers, industry, refining, and other fields in the future. The growing demand for energy will necessitate its use in many regions.
However nuclear energy must be developed with utmost safety, security, transparency and accountability.
Simultaneously the additional safety, security, transparency and accountability that we want for this new technology and it’s deployment need to be introduced and enhanced to the highest levels. We should strive to develop a system in which nuclear energy facilitates economic and technological progress, and where governments, industry, and people have confidence in its safety.
Surveillance Systems
In order to maintain the security purposes every nation should take into consideration of setting surveillance systems. Human security and human privacy should be the prime priority while building surveillance systems. The purpose of doing this is to prevent people or group of people to harm themselves and others. Some nations already adopted this system and its well managed.
We will continue further discussion on these topics in coming times.
